Celebrating our Community  

Square Fair, inc is a not for profit committee representing the citizens of Allen County. It was established to aid, assist and encourage community, cultural, and artistic development through the presentation of an annual festival in downtown Lima, Ohio. People —living, playing, raising families— define a community and make it special. Lima's Town Square will be the focal point each summer as citizens of Allen County come together to celebrate the character and vision of our community through the arts represented at Square Fair.

EXPLORE YOUR CREATIVITY IN THE CHILDREN'S ART PARK sponsored by Time Warner Cable

Join in a variety of hands on projects under the supervision of art park volunteers and enter Artspace/Lima to create your own work of art!

Chairman Karen Miller and her committee are working with Artspace's Vanessa Damschroder to put together a schedule of great fun and educational activities for kids of all ages.

Special events include:
CHALK IT UP with Lee, Jeff & Brin Jones who will work with kids to create a wonderful work of art on the sidewalks;
ICE CARVING with professional ice carver Paul Ahrens involving audiences as he creates unique works of art. Whether it's his personality and wit or his ability to carve such beautiful ice sculptures, Paul?s show is guaranteed to draw a crowd. He can also get the kids involved! By freezing toys or money inside a block of ice, Paul then gives children an opportunity to chip out these frozen prizes.
HIGH JINKS Expect the unexpected with their fantastic costumes, lively
scenarios, and interactive performers as theyprovide a crowd-alluring atmosphere that appeals to a diverse audience.They will surprise and delight in spectacular ways with their extraordinary stilt-dances and choreography
MATT JERGENS has been entertaining audiences with his unique blend of humor and skill for the past decade. His show involves electrifying routines that showcase the talents of one of the top jugglers around.
DAN FOSTER Perennial favorite returns to draw caricatures of festival goers.
