Remember Give the Arts A Goose in 2004 and 2005? Back by popular demand in 2008, a new project ---Join The Lima News and Square Fair inc as we have fun with Dog Days of Summer.
Sponsors adopted a dog it was transformed from a concrete form into a work of art by local professional and avocational artists of all ages.
The beautifully and whimsically decorated dogs are being photographed and published in the The Lima News so the public can vote on their favorite. Beginning in May and running through the end of July the decorated dogs will be showcased in businesses and public places throughout the Lima/Allen County community—bringing smiles to the faces of children and adults of all backgrounds and ages. The public will be able to vote on their favorite at their display sites as well as on line at www.limaohio.com. Each dog will have a brass plaque identifying the sponsor and artist. This public art exhibition will begin May 1st and culminate in an auction during the Toast to the City on July 30th. Proceeds will help ensure the continuing development of Square Fair.
